PRIVACY POLICY

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you visit our website and download or use our software.

Effective date: 20 February 2026
Last updated: 20 February 2026

1) Who we are

This website and the photo2video.live software (together, the “Services”) are operated by:

Controller / Company: Photo2live LLC

Registered address: 123 Mission Street, Suite 500, San Francisco, CA 94105, USA

Contact email: privacy@photo2video.live

Website: https://photo2video.live

Replace the placeholders above before publishing. If you are not a registered company, use your full legal name and a contact email/address where you can receive privacy requests.

2) Information we collect

2.1 Information you provide

  • Support messages: if you contact us by email, we receive the content of your message and your email address.

2.2 Information collected automatically (website)

  • Server logs: when you visit the website, our hosting provider typically logs your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, date/time, and referring URL. This is standard for security and performance.
  • Download logs: when you download our installer or files, the server may log the request (e.g., IP address, timestamp, file requested) to prevent abuse and troubleshoot delivery.

2.3 Photos and prompts

  • Website upload demo: if the website includes an “upload” feature, the selected photo is handled locally in your browser for preview / demo experience. We do not intentionally upload your photo to our servers through the website experience as designed.
  • Mini prompts: if you type a prompt on the website, it is intended to be used locally in the experience unless explicitly sent to a backend (we will update this policy if that changes).

2.4 Information collected by third parties

The website may load resources from third-party providers (for example, fonts and images). When your browser loads these resources, those providers may receive technical information such as your IP address and user agent. See Section 6.

3) How we use information

We use information for the following purposes:

  • Provide and maintain the Services: deliver website content and downloads; keep the Services operational.
  • Security and fraud prevention: detect and prevent abuse, bots, malicious traffic, and attacks.
  • Support: respond to messages and requests.
  • Compliance: meet legal obligations and enforce our rights.

We do not sell personal information. We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data through the website.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), Switzerland, or the United Kingdom, we process personal data under the following legal bases, as applicable:

  • Legitimate interests: security, preventing abuse, ensuring reliable delivery of downloads, and improving service stability.
  • Contract: to provide the Services you request (e.g., delivering a download or responding to a support request).
  • Legal obligation: to comply with laws and lawful requests.
  • Consent: where required (e.g., certain cookies/analytics, if used). If we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

5) Cookies & similar technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Similar technologies include local storage and pixels.

5.1 Our approach

  • Essential cookies: we may use strictly necessary cookies or local storage to make the website function correctly (for example, to remember a preference).
  • Analytics / advertising cookies: we do not intentionally use advertising cookies on this website unless explicitly stated here and on the website.

5.2 Third-party cookies

Third-party services embedded or loaded by the website (such as font providers or image CDNs) may set their own cookies or collect usage data. We do not control these technologies. See Section 6.

5.3 How to manage cookies

You can control cookies through your browser settings (block, delete, or restrict cookies). Note that blocking some cookies may affect site functionality.

6) Third-party services

Our website may load resources from third-party providers. These providers may receive technical data such as IP address and user agent when your browser requests those resources.

Service
Purpose
What data may be processed
Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com / fonts.gstatic.com)
Load typography (Inter font)
IP address, user agent, request metadata
Unsplash / external image CDN (images.unsplash.com)
Load example images
IP address, user agent, request metadata, potential cookies
Hosting provider Namecheap (Shared Hosting)
Serve website files and downloads
Server logs: IP, timestamps, pages/files requested, referrer

Best practice for strict GDPR compliance: host fonts and example images locally to minimize third-party data sharing.

7) When we share information

We may share information in limited situations:

  • Service providers: hosting/CDN or email providers that process data on our behalf to operate the Services.
  • Legal and safety: if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and prevent fraud/abuse.
  • Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, information may be transferred as part of that transaction (subject to safeguards).

8) International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, depending on where our service providers operate. Where required by law (e.g., GDPR), we use appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms.

9) Data retention

  • Server logs: typically retained for a limited period (e.g., days to months) for security, debugging, and abuse prevention.
  • Support emails: retained as long as necessary to handle your request and maintain records of the interaction.
  • Local photos (website demo): your photo remains on your device. We do not keep a server copy through the website experience as designed.

If you want precise retention periods, fill them in here once you confirm your hosting provider’s log retention settings.

10) Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, and alteration. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.

11) Your rights

11.1 EEA/UK (GDPR / UK GDPR)

You may have the right to:

  • Request access to your personal data
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion (where applicable)
  • Object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • Request restriction of processing
  • Data portability (where applicable)
  • Withdraw consent (where processing is based on consent)

You can exercise these rights by contacting us at: privacy@photo2video.live.

11.2 California (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you may have rights to know, delete, and correct certain personal information, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information. We do not sell personal information. You can contact us at privacy@photo2video.live to submit a request.

11.3 Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no universal standard for responding to such signals, so we do not currently respond to them in a specific way.

11.4 Complaints

If you are in the EEA/UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. If you are in Latvia, the supervisory authority is the Data State Inspectorate (Datu valsts inspekcija).

12) Children’s privacy

The Services are not intended for children under 13 (or the minimum age required by your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

13) Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and may provide additional notice where required.
